What's In The Box?

As a Birchbox subscriber I always love receiving my samples that come in the mail each month. I was even more excited when I heard Birchbox announce that they would be partnering up with Women's Health. Their partnership meant that they would be creating a special edition Birchbox for April 2013. The Birchbox theme "Tiny Tweaks, Big Results" launched in conjunction with the beauty issue of Women's Health that hit newsstands March 12th. The Birchbox features products to add to your beauty routine and a 1 year subscription to Women's Health magazine. Sounds great huh? I say yes!

The first item you see is the box. This month I received a different decorated sleeve in conjunction with the partnership with Women's Health. I am all about themes so this was very intriguing! I couldn't wait to open up the box!

When I opened the box the first item on top was the info card and a card for a one year subscription to Women's Health. A free year just for being a subscriber to Birchbox. What an awesome deal!

The first beauty product I took a looksee at was the product I could use the most, StriVectin-SD. This little sample is meant to last about two weeks. It is made to reduce wrinkles, fine lines and diminish under eye circles. I started using this product two days ago and I am eager to see how great this works.

If you are like me, I change up my shampoo and conditioner frequently because my hair tends to get use to a certain product and not react the same way as it did the first day I used it. I color my hair also so the need for a color treated shampoo is a must. The sample is from Oribe and provides a product that keeps your color bright and your hair healthy.

I was a little skeptical in using this product but to give you a good idea of how these products work and if they are worth buying we have to try them right? I am not a fan of oils and gels so sometimes I tend to wait forever to use these products. This product sounded a bit different. I could use it in the shower and wash it right off so I figured why not? The Sicilian body gel from Skin & Co is meant to leave your in smooth, soft and relieved of dryness. Most people have sensitive skin and can experience redness. This product actually contains a calming agent that solves that problem. With it's light, floral scent this product worked like a charm!

Supergoop is a lightweight foundation and primer that also acts as a sunscreen. This smooth formula blended well and smoothed fine lines and wrinkles as well. I haven't been using this product that long so it is hard to say that I have had dramatic results. I will continue to use the product and see how it all works out.

So many of my bloggy friends are always on the lookout for vegan or gluten free food products. Well Birchbox to the rescue! The Hail Merry Macaroons that I received was the Choco flavored. I am not a fan of Macaroons so of course I didn't like these either. If you are fan these might be your thing. I would at least give them a try. The macaroons are made with pure and wholesome ingredients and are a guilt free dessert for the daily sweet tooth craving.

All current Birchbox subscribers received the special edition box and new customers can still sign up to receive the Birchbox at www.birchbox.com/womenshealth.

Does this look like something you are interested in? Would you like to see more beauty products related to anti-aging? Will you be signing up for this box?
