H54F! Let's get this party started!

Do ya feel that?
Oh it's nothing but a little ball of happiness growing inside because it is already Friday!
I say this like the week went by super fast or something but in all reality 4 day work weeks seem to last just as long as regular ones.
I am more than ready to get my weekend started!
Who's with me?

I'll be the first to scream it TGIF!

1. This week as you know if you live on Planet Earth was a four day work week for most. If you gained an extra day or additional time off give yourself a pat on the back.

2. Madison's dance recital packet came in and we received her costume! Yes we are keeping this whole thing a secret until June 22nd. Stay tuned!

3. I met the sweetest, goal oriented, determined and driven woman I have ever met. If I can keep positive people like her around I will be headed down the right path.

4. My dear friend Stacy helped me out by taking Madison to dance so I could get my herrr did. I kept it longer than normal and colored it as usual. (I'm a natural blonde, but I add highlights and lowlights) I absolutely love the way it turned out!

5. Madison climbed up in my chair and sat next to me, next thing I know she is snoring away. What a perfect moment. There is nothing better than snuggle time with your kiddo!

That concludes my high fives!
Give yourself a high five for making it through the week!
Now go out and have some fun! Smile! Don't waste time! Happiness is key!

Say Cheese! Kendra Pierson Photography

I am the biggest fan of photographers and photography.

As I have mentioned before this would be my dream career.

I have yet to build up enough courage to start my own business but I think I am getting closer with the help of a wonderful woman named Kendra Pierson.

Kendra and I met through our children’s daycare and became friends soon after.

She started her photography business, Kendra Pierson Photography, two years ago and it has been booming ever since.

Kendra specializes in infant and child photography while also photographing family, senior portraits and maternity.

I am amazed that she is completely self taught with no professional photography or photoshop training.

Her creative vision and desire to learn, grow and evolve is motivating.

I jumped for joy with Kendra hosted a contest on her Facebook page for the most referrals. It came at a huge surprise to see this little guy drawing my name as the winner!

The session was completely free and included 60-100 edited images and a play date between Madison and Cash!

Here are some of my favorite shots from Kendra’s portfolio. Check out the info at the end of this post for more information about her and her prospering company!

For one session it costs $150 for 1-1.5 hours shot at the location of your choice.
Includes post editing, 60-100 images on a high resolution disc and the copyright release for printing anywhere you like.

Newborn sessions are $150 but are for 2-3 hours.
These pictures are taken in the first ten days of life while they are still squishy, sleepy and easy to pose.

As a mother of a child that had to be taken care of in ICU Kendra knows what it’s like to want to capture those precious moments. In the first few days and weeks of life families sometimes do not want to spend money on professional pictures when their kid has wires, IV’s and tubes hooked to them. Kendra is kind enough to do 100% free sessions to those families in need.

She also provides the same for families with critically ill children.

Senior sessions: To be determined based on location, outfit changes and if prints are needed.

If you would like to schedule an appointment please feel free to contact Kendra by email at kpiersonphotography@comcast.net, by phone at 317-440-2623 or on her Facebook page.

I love capturing the wonderful moments in our lives and Kendra makes it look so easy! I hope to be where she is some day!

ABC's Of Thankfulness

When I saw Marquis’s tweet yesterday announcing the one time link up called “ABC’s of Thankfulness”
I knew I had to jump on board.
With a rough week behind me and a bright horizon in front of me, I thought why not focus on the things I am thankful for.
These positive things bring joy to my life and sometimes I let the little things get the best of me.
Today’s link couldn’t have happened at a better time.
So from A to Z here are the things that shine in my life.

via
A-Air conditioning, I mean seriously I couldn’t imagine life without it. Our AC went out for three days and we all about murdered each other.

B-Baths! Soaking in a hot bubble bath after a long day is the way to relax! Also, bath time with Madison is really fun. She pretends she is doing laps at the Olympics, it’s quite comical

C-Cameras! I am a picture taking freak and I wouldn’t know what to do without my camera. Lord knows 80 years from now my memory bank won’t be so sharp.

via
D-Dairy Queen, a place we visit almost too much but hey when you have a sweet tooth what do you do?

E-Electricity! Now lights, no heat, no air no thank you! I appreciate the power of power!

F-Fruit and Family. I could eat fruit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I also love my Family and wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

G-Google. I am the Google queen. I use it to look up just about everything.

H-Hairspray. I don’t like to blow dry and straighten my hair so scrunching it happens 5 out of the 7 days.

I-Internet. We wouldn’t have blogs without having this nifty source.

via

J-Jesus. Praying daily for things I appreciate, asking for help and guidance and someone I can turn to in the time of need. I do believe everything happens for a reason and he has a plan for all of us.

K-Kindness. I treat others the way I want to be treated and believe everyone should do the same. Showing how much we care can really change a life.

L-Lip gloss! A girls best friend.
via

M-Mom and Madison. My life is so much better with these guys in it. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother, friend and daughter.

N-Netflix. It occupies a lot of my time but is a lot cheaper than renting movies and watching cable 24/7.

O-Olay Eye Makeup remover, I haven’t found a better one to take off my eye makeup without burning my eyes.

P-Prayer. I know a lot of people have prayed for me this last year and I appreciate each and every prayer that was sent to the man upstairs.

Q-Qdobas? Wow Q is a hard one! Nachos sound pretty good right about now!

R-Restrooms. Camping always sucks for me because using the bathroom outside isn’t all that fun. I am grateful for facilities of this nature.

S-Starbucks. My life saver and everyone else’s. We all know without my coffee how grouchy I can get.

via

T-Toilets. Again, going back to the restrooms, it just is a thing I wouldn’t want to live without.

U-Umbrellas. As much rain as we have had this year it was kind of hard not to leave the house without one.

V-Video cameras. I have captured some really great moments and cannot wait to share them with Madison and my grandkids one day.

W-Water. A bath, a shower, a drink or to water mother nature’s beatutiful plants and trees we simply cannot live without it. I value this the most of all.

X-X-rays, I guess without them we wouldn’t be able to find a lot of problems internally. Plus a word starting with X is really hard to come up with!

Y-Yard sales. I love people that set up yard sales! Going through other people’s junk and finding treasure makes my day!

Z-Catching Zzzzzzzz’s is the best. I say a nap should be mandatory during work hours.

It's Kinda Like The Energizer Bunny

via

Since the middle of last week some not so good things have happened to me.

Incidences at work, a flat tire, replaced two of my tires, set up payment arrangements on my hospital bills leaving me short of cash and what seems like a never ending feeling of depression.

If you haven't noticed, I am the queen of run on sentences. Kinda like the energizer bunny, they just keep going and going.

Most of the time I could write these blog posts without ever taking a breath, who needs periods right? I mean in real life and on paper :) Seriously!

This isn't to sound like I am whining or complaining. This blog is usually pretty positive and happy and to get off track from that wouldn't help.
I know, I can hear you saying it now "Thank God."
So to cheer myself up, add some positivity to my day and to hopefully make you smile over the things I am loving I am linking up with Jamie!

I'm Loving...strawberries, shortcake and white chocolate! The sister in law made these for a birthday party and I couldn't stop eating them! Yum!

I'm Loving...play dates with the kiddos! Madison having time with her bff Cash was the cutest! I remember being so excited to spend time with friends so seeing her experience it is priceless.

I'm Loving...my best friend, Stacy. She is a remarkable, patient and loving school teacher who would do anything for anyone. She is someone I can count on at any given moment and someone who I love and trust. Every time we get together it is a blast! I love having play dates with my bff :)

I'm Loving...Baskin Robbins! I get a scoop of Daiquiri Ice and Jamoca Almond Fudge and Madison gets Cotton Candy. My sister also works there so the discount isn't too shabby either!

And now for my Pinterest loves!
