Ten Dollar Holla

So once again I thought Ipsy beat out Birchbox hands down. I guess it all comes down to your preferences in beauty products. I am more of a makeup/nail fan rather than an anti-aging product fan. So it all comes down to what you like.
This month Ipsy decided to make a them based upon all of my favorites, I mean it is my birthday month and all about me, right? Oh ok well it was very fitting indeed! This month's theme was pink! All of the products were in the pink colored family, perfect timing for spring as well! From bright to pastel this Ipsy glam bag had it all!

The best part of this subscription for me is the cute bags the products come in! Pink and white, I'm in love!

One item that was outside of the pink theme was a product I have been wanting to try forever. Big Sexy Hair's Powder Play. I have very fine, limp hair and I'm always on the lookout for products that help enhance volume. This product is it! I have used Aquage Uplifting foam ever since I watched Kate's tutorial from The Small Things Blog using the product. When I opened my bag and found this product I squealed. You simply sprinkle the product on your roots and work it in, instantly it adds texture and volume!

I am a current user of Mary Kay's blush but I am happy to have received the Be A Bombshell blush in sweet cheeks. It is a bright pink but goes on smoothly and covers well. At a full size sample this one item pays for the entire bag!

The Mica Mineral Eyeshadow comes in an awesome pink shade. It is free of preservatives and is delicate on the eye. You can use the product for many uses such as mixing with clear nail polish or a clear lip gloss to add pigment to the nails and lips!

Sation Nail Lacquer is an excellent nail polish! With just one coat the polish coats perfectly and provides a subtle yet unique look for any skin tone!

So after seeing what Birchbox and Ipsy have to offer, which do you prefer?
Do you have a subscription to both or one or the other?

  1. I used to get both and cancelled Birchbox. There was no value in it for me. Since I have had Ipsy, I think there was only one month I wasn't crazy happy about. This months was awesome!

  2. I love Ipsy. I enjoyed Birchbox, but after only like 6 months of subscribing to it I was receieving repeats, and other stuff I didn't even have a use for. Ipsy sends me great products, and I almost always love at least 2 of the items out of the bag.
