TaStY TuEsDaY: Triple S & GB

Steak, Shrimp, Suddenly Salad & Green Beans.

Today I am linking up with Alissa for my second week of Tasty Tuesdays!!

I love home cooked food! The aroma coming from the kitchen, new recipes being explored & the proud moment you feel when dinner is served.
So I decided to spend my Monday night trying out some new recipes & ways of cooking so I could share with you, yet another Tasty Tuesday recipe!

STEAK INGREDIENTS:
3 NY Strip Thin Steaks
3/4 bottle of Dales steak seasoning
salt
pepper
Weber Chicago steak seasoning

Lay the steaks in a plastic bowl/container.
Pour the Dales steak seasoning on top of the steaks.
Marinade for 15 minutes, flip the steaks and marinade for another 15 minutes.
(I used the George Foreman to grill the steaks)
Take the steaks out of the marinade and lay them on the grill.
Sprinkle each side with Weber Grill seasoning, just a dash to each side.
Grill for 5 to 10 minutes or until they are cooked to your desire.

SHRIMP INGREDIENTS:
1 small or large ring of shrimp-thawed & drained
1 packet of Weber Grills citrus herb marinade mix
1 small can of pineapple juice-only use 3/4 of the can

Mix one can of pineapple juice, marinade mix and shrimp in a ziplock bag.
Shake bag and mix the marinade mix with the shrimp until the shrimp is covered.
Store in fridge for 30 minutes.
Pour shrimp onto the George Forman grill or skillet and cook until seasoning is cooked through and the size of the shrimp is half dollar shaped (the shrimp will shrink into a circular shape)

For the green beans I cheated, I dumped them out of the can into a pot, sprinkled with salt and pepper and poured the rest of the pineapple juice that I didn't use for the shrimp on top.
Same for the suddenly salad. Straight from the box, a no brainer!

Last Step: EAT!

I really enjoyed this meal! I remember all of the delicious meals my mother cooked for me & I hope my daughter grows up to have the same memories. There is nothing like great home cooking to soothe the soul! Enjoy!

  1. How was the pineapple juice on the green beans? That sounds like an interesting combo...

  2. It was sooo good!! I've always found that green beans are plain if not cooked in onions and bacon. I had the left over pineapple juice so I thought why not? It turned out great! I'm going to start throwing diff things in with them and see how they turn out!
