Everything Is Changing

Welcome to Sunday fun day!!

I'm linking up with Neely and Ashley for the Sunday Social!
I love the topics this week.
With Spring right around the corner and winter coming to an end what better way to spend the Sunday Social but with a few questions related to the wonderful time of year!

Sunday Social

1. Favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
I love sitting in my pajamas with a cup of coffee on my front porch. There is nothing more calming than the sound of rain. The breeze and the smell of nature is all I need on a perfect rainy day!

2. Favorite thing to do on a Summer weekend?
Go to the grandparents lake house! A beach, a cabin and a boat! Fun in the sun is definitely what I am in need of right now! It has been under 40 degrees for I don't know how long! Laying out on a beach towel, splashing water around and soaking up the sun makes for an awesome weekend! How many more days until summer again?

3. Favorite Spring accessory?
Necklaces! I have a collection evolving of bright colored jewelry! Pink, green, teal, white and purple! My obsession use to be hand bags but I have moved on! We have a store here in Indy where all of my necklaces are $3.99 and usually marked down to $1.99! Can you say winning!!

4. Favorite way to spend a Winter day?
Bundling up in coats, boots, hats and gloves and running out into the heaping piles of snow with my daughter! Her laughter and her happy spirit improves my mood and way of thinking so much! We love watching the snowflakes fall and having snow ball fights! The best part is coming in, snuggling under a blanket and drinking hot chocolate!
5. What is your favorite season and why?
Fall! Oh I love the changing colors of the leaves and everything pumpkin! The weather is still warm but starting to cool down. I love wearing jeans but still wearing flip flops! Bonfires and barbeque's put a smile on my face! Tractor rides, the pumpkin patch and apple cider I say YES!!

6. Best birthday you ever had?
I don't have a BEST birthday that stands out among the rest but the year I was preggo four years ago turned out to be a great one. We had dinner at this fancy restaurant called The Journey. They literally have every kind of food and dessert you could think of. Every plate was worth a photo op moment. We then left and went next door to outdoor putt putt. The sun was shining and for ONCE it didn't rain! It always rains on my birthday! I also was two weeks overdue with my daughter and five days later had her. Can you say best birthday present ever!

I hope you learned a little more about me! Feel free to leave a sweet comment answering any of the questions above! I love hearing your stories! If you have participated in the link up as well and would like me to swing on over to your post leave your link in my comment box!
Have a positive, carefree amazing day!

You, Me and A Cup Of Joe

How many of you adore a cup of coffee? How about making and building friendships? Great! You have settled down in the right place! My new found friend Kayln along with the sweet Lauren is hosting a new link up called Coffee and Conversation!
Last week, Kayln and Lauren introduced this new linkup where you can come and find out what's going on in your blogger friends life.
Now, we get to sit with our cup of joe and share life together! Sounds fun, right?!?!?

So come along on this journey. Make some new great friendships - isn't that why a lot of us started blogging anyway, to share life together. :)
Each week they will have a new topic and you can link up! Grab the button below and join us!

Coffee & Conversation

This weeks question: What is one of the most valuable lessons you have learned this year so far?

This was a very easy question for me to answer! I have had several eye opening experiences this year and we are only three months in!
The most valuable lesson I have learned is to not let people walk over you and learn when to say no! I am known as the push over. I let people take advantage of me. I let others say and do things and I tend to let them roll off my back without saying anything. I tend to hold everything in and then I break down.
This year I have chosen that the people who I want in my life are the ones who will make an effort for me as well. Calling, texting, emailing and visiting cannot happen daily and I am aware of that but when you feel like the friendship or relationship is one sided then it is not worth it. You can only work so hard on something without receiving the love in return before you give up. I noticed the excuses and I noticed things being said behind my back. This year on my list of New Year's Resolutions, building better friendships was my main focus. I can say proudly that I have moved my main focus to the ones who show me they care about me as much as I care about them.
via
As far as the "saying no" subject, I always say yes to everything. I am a people pleaser! My schedule might be completely full and I say yes. Someone needs help, yes. Someone wants to plan a dinner or lunch date, yes. If anyone asks or needs anything, yes. Trust me I am still working on this! It is VERY hard for me to say no to anyone. I am a very emotional person and I feel like I might hurt their feelings or that they won't ask again when they need it next time. It doesn't mean I will never say YES but sometimes I just cannot manage all that I have going on and add one more thing to the list. Is anyone else with me on this? Do you have a problem telling others no? Have you found a way to get around the feeling of guilt? I try really hard to balance my life with the life of others and it is still a work in progress, I just hate letting others down because I myself hate that feeling.

What valuable lesson have you learned this year?
Come back next Monday, pull up a chair, sip your warm delicious coffee and let's chat!

I am also on the lookout for anyone who wants to meet up for a blate (blogger + date = blate).
If you are or know of someone near Indiana please give me a shout out!
We can meet, eat and drink coffee together outside of the little Internet world!

Sensational Sunday Social

Happy Sunday Social everyone!
I am happy to announce that Sunday is my lay around the house, stay in pajamas, drink entirely way too much coffee and catch up on my DVR recorded shows kinda day.
Anyone else with me on this? How do you spend your Sunday morning?

This weeks theme for the Sunday Social link up, hosted by Neely and Ashley is:
Never Have I Ever

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
I have watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not the original but the first one with Jessica Biel. I cannot stand to watch people get tortured and chased after. Being that this movie was apparently based on a true story makes it even worse. I can watch horror movies but this one seriously gives me an anxiety attack!
via
2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven’t yet?
The Mindy Project. I see it come on after the New Girl and I laugh for a good five minutes but I have never starting recording it. I have so many shows recording and such little time to watch them that I figure I won't get wrapped up in another one.
via
3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
I am actually known as the "safe" person. I don't have anything daring on my list. My bucket list pertains to traveling, getting out of debt/staying out of debt and trying lots of different foods.

via
4. Would you ever travel alone?
It depends on what it as for. I do not prefer to do anything alone. Traveling alone at least by airplane would freak me out. I feel little more safe and secure when someone is with me.

via
5. What activities do you like to do alone?
Sleep! Anytime I sleep alone I sleep through the entire night and wake up refreshed. Any tossing and turning, snoring or waking of the three year old and I am frazzled the next morning!
Blog! The less noise and distractions, the more I accomplish in a less amount of time. A silent room with just me and my laptop does wonders!

1. My Birchbox has shipped! There is nothing better than receiving a cute little box filled with beauty related goodies!
Do you subscribe to Birchbox?
What item have you received that is your ultimate favorite?

2. Madison waking up in her pjs with wild crazy hair and finding a letter from Lucy. Lucy was our Elf On The Shelf! She came in the middle of the night and left Madison a letter about her being SO good and that she would see her real soon. Madison was ecstatic!

3. This week I went from 50 followers to 202! I could not be more grateful and excited! I love that all of you are reading my posts, commenting and entering in the giveaways! You are awesome! For all my new followers I hope to get to know you better and begin friendships with you!

4. I had an AMAZING, informative and fun V-Blate with Kaitlyn, Kayln and Samantha! I can't wait for the next one! I hope to continue my bond with these ladies!

5. Even though the meteorologists said we were to expect 4-7 inches of snow Tuesday night, we ended up with 3.5 and it almost all melted away by the next afternoon. It made for an easier drive and less stressful day!

A Heart Full Of Love

Every Wednesday I link up with Jamie and other fellow bloggers to share what we are loving for the week, also know as "What I'm Loving Wednesday."
Anything your little heart desires can be shared.
I also love this link up because it takes away from all of the negativity and focuses on the positive things out of life!
What makes you smile and love life?

I'm Loving...that I somehow overpaid a mortgage payment and they sent me a refund! Do these kinds of things even happen? Score!

I'm Loving...all of my new bloggy friendships and conversations I have had this week! I really feel connected to a lot of you and cannot wait to get to know everyone better!
I'm Loving...MomMeHour! Such a genius idea! Samantha the creator behind the great idea thought that we spent too many hours out of our day on technology Why not put the phone, tv and computer down for one hour and dedicate that time to our spouses or children? Here you see Madison being a cheater eater while snapping a pic for our Go Fish hour :)

I'm Loving...that I am participating in an awesome Kate Spade giveaway with Kaitlyn and 18 other bloggers! Enter to win a handbag of your choice! Use the rafflecopter below!

I'm Loving...cupcakes! Especially chocolate cupcakes with blue sweet icing! I also loved that I had this cute little paper towel to act as a background. It's the little things that make me smile!

I'm Loving...that I FINALLY (yes I am very behind) watched Breaking Dawn Part 2! What a great trilogy of movies! I never read the books so I never got what everyone was talking about and what the big hype was. Then I saw the movies and said okay that's what everyone was in such a rampage about!

I'm Loving...that Spring is right around the corner and that my new droid desktop displays these "springy" colors and my adorable little ladybug :) Let me know if you need tips on changing your icons and sprucing up your device!

I'm Loving...that for one day this week it wasn't snowing, raining or below 30 degrees! We were able to play outside and enjoy the sunshine! (We are currently experiencing snowfall 4-7 inches) Woof.

Grab the button below and link up today! I would love to read what you are loving on this wonderful Wednesday!

Motivational Monday!

via
Can you tell what I woke up daydreaming about?
That would be warm weather, my upcoming vacation in May and the beach!
I could sit by the ocean with sand in between my toes soaking in God's beautiful work all day, every day!
Is there something you are looking forward to?
What gets you through those dreaded Monday's?
Speaking of Monday I am linking up with two lovely ladies, Kate and Kati, to bring you the GBU (the good, bad and ugly) of my weekend!

Let's get going!

 The Good:
Friday night we celebrated our five year wedding anniversary! If you haven't already read the honeymoon story click here for part 1 and here for part 2. It will be a memory I will never forget.
Here are a few wedding pictures and some from our five year anniversary dinner!

The Bad:
My computer decided to crash on Wednesday so I had to throw down an extra weeks paycheck on a new laptop! It was totally worth it and I scored a great deal thanks to the help of Chelsee but spending that kind of money kills my checkbook!

The Ugly:
Due to the new computer I pretty much accomplished nothing but writing tons of blog posts and reading up on some of my faves! Including Wifessionals, Southern Beauty Guide and Diary of a Debutante!

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a Kate Spade handbag of your choice!
Have a positive, stress free Monday and work week!
