Simply Irresistible: Sunday Social Style!

Happy Sunday loves! I am so glad you stopped by my little corner of the Internet :) I am joining two lovely girls for today's Sunday Social! In hopes to find some new friends, share a little about myself and mingle!

1. What is your favorite kind of surprise?

Any surprise! Seriously, it could be a post it note with a piece of candy on my desk or an email sent to me saying something sweet or a full out grand surprise and I am ever so grateful. Just knowing I was thought of by another person completes my day. Some day I wish to be swept off my feet and receive a little pink box with Carmel Eclairs inside so I can reenact my favorite movie, Simply Irresistible ha!

2. Flowers or Chocolate?

Flowers! I don't get them often but when I do I feel very special. There is something so unique and special about flowers. Especially orchids.

3. What is your favorite summertime activity?

Swimming! I love to lay out and take a little dip once I have gotten too hot. Playing in the pool with Madison is a blast. Seeing her reaction and how much fun she is having is totally worth it!
 

  4. Do you have any vacations planned this Summer?

Not so far. I have some time off in August but with me just getting back from Myrtle Beach I think I'll stick by the pool, find some things to do around town or take some advice from Madison and kick my feet up like she tends to do!  

5. Favorite Summer Holiday?

Fourth of July! Hands down! I love watching the fireworks, buying matching attire for the festivities and spending time with friends and family for cookouts.

6. Dream Vacation?

To visit Laguna Beach in California, Paris or somewhere exotic like the Bahamas or Hawaii or the Virgin Islands. Anywhere where it is warm, low humidity and has clean beaches and water. I also have to have lots of shopping and attractions! If this girl becomes bored, it's not a good day. I would also LOVE to be able to take Madison to Disney World one day!

Pinterest Style!

I love meeting new people, talking to my current buddies and sharing some random topics! So what better way to do that then to link up with Ashley and Neely for the Sunday Social!  

  Today's topics are centered around one of my favorite sites, Pinterest!   1. What is your favorite outfit pin?

I usually do not wear a ton of red clothing. Actually I don’t think I own anything in red. I have one necklace that has some red color on it but that is it. That’s why it sounds very strange that I would pick my favorite outfit pin to be all red! I love the tank top that can be worn alone or under a cover up. The shoes are full of cuteness and well I AM addicted to handbags so this one is a must! The sunglasses are flattering and the jeans are stylish but casual. The entire outfit I could pop into my closet right now!

2. What is your favorite food?

I could seriously spend every day eating fruit or desserts but then I might gain a bazillion pounds and I know I don’t have time for that! As a meal item I always go after the meat and potatoes! You can never go wrong with steak if you order up the right piece of meat and well mashed potatoes are addicting for me! Smothered in butter or topped with cheese and bacon makes for a mouth watering experience!

3. What is your favorite wedding pin?   These shoes are fabulous and I never got one picture of my shoes during my wedding photo shoot. I wish I would have gotten my entire bridal parties shoes along with mine. Everything revolves around a girls shoes ya know :)

4. What is your favorite DIY/craft pin?
I have had this project saved for about a year now and need to get started as soon as possible! Madison has collected stuffed animals over time and we need a storage space. I love this idea!

5. What is your favorite quote/verse/lyric pin?
Oh how I have a ton of meaningful and heartfelt quotes that come to mind but the only one that has stuck with me is when I watched the season finale of my all time favorite show, One Tree Hill. The entire cast recited something that will stick with me for years to come

1. What is your favorite thing about Spring?
The flowers! I love to buy a variety of flowers and plant them in my flower beds. Seeing the beautiful arrangements bloom each day is a remarkable and breathtaking moment. Thinking back to my teenage days when I use to make fun of my mom for planting flowers makes me laugh now. I guess I have finally became an adult :)

2. Favorite kind of flowers to grow or receive?
I love to grow Tiger Lily's! They seem to grow without a lot of care and nurturing and are beautiful. I also love to receive Orchids! I hardly ever receive flowers but the smell and look of orchids is astonishing. Orchids are unique and amazing flowers and I could spend all day in a garden full of them!

3. What is your favorite nail polish color?
Pink! I have a lot of different shades. The different shades look great for all seasons and ends up being the color I use the most! Toes or nails, pink has it goin on!

4. What is your favorite out door activity?
Taking walks. Whether it's at the cabin, around our lovely Arts Garden we have here in town or at the park I love to walk around and soak in the sunshine and nature. I love to walk, it really relaxes me and calms my stress level down.

5. Do you have any fun Spring plans? Details
Fun? Ain't nobody got time for that??!! No just kidding. Maybe. :) I might call it fun, you might call it boring but I use Spring time to get everything in order. I clean out the pantry, cabinets and closets. I clean up the outside areas where we have our barbeque's and patio parties. I spruce up the front porch and make my daily afternoon hangout area on my porch swing comfy and inviting! Spring time for me is about preparation for all the real fun to begin. That folks would be SUMMER TIME!

Everything Is Changing

With Spring right around the corner and winter coming to an end what better way to spend the Sunday Social but with a few questions related to the wonderful time of year!

 

1. Favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

I love sitting in my pajamas with a cup of coffee on my front porch. There is nothing more calming than the sound of rain. The breeze and the smell of nature is all I need on a perfect rainy day!

2. Favorite thing to do on a Summer weekend?
Go to the grandparents lake house! A beach, a cabin and a boat! Fun in the sun is definitely what I am in need of right now! It has been under 40 degrees for I don't know how long! Laying out on a beach towel, splashing water around and soaking up the sun makes for an awesome weekend! How many more days until summer again?

3. Favorite Spring accessory?
Necklaces! I have a collection evolving of bright colored jewelry! Pink, green, teal, white and purple! My obsession use to be hand bags but I have moved on! We have a store here in Indy where all of my necklaces are $3.99 and usually marked down to $1.99! Can you say winning!!

4. Favorite way to spend a Winter day?
Bundling up in coats, boots, hats and gloves and running out into the heaping piles of snow with my daughter! Her laughter and her happy spirit improves my mood and way of thinking so much! We love watching the snowflakes fall and having snow ball fights! The best part is coming in, snuggling under a blanket and drinking hot chocolate!

5. What is your favorite season and why?
Fall! Oh I love the changing colors of the leaves and everything pumpkin! The weather is still warm but starting to cool down. I love wearing jeans but still wearing flip flops! Bonfires and barbeque's put a smile on my face! Tractor rides, the pumpkin patch and apple cider I say YES!!

6. Best birthday you ever had?
I don't have a BEST birthday that stands out among the rest but the year I was preggo four years ago turned out to be a great one. We had dinner at this fancy restaurant called The Journey. They literally have every kind of food and dessert you could think of. Every plate was worth a photo op moment. We then left and went next door to outdoor putt putt. The sun was shining and for ONCE it didn't rain! It always rains on my birthday! I also was two weeks overdue with my daughter and five days later had her. Can you say best birthday present ever!

Sensational Sunday Social

Happy Sunday Social everyone!

I am happy to announce that Sunday is my lay around the house, stay in pajamas, drink entirely way too much coffee and catch up on my DVR recorded shows kinda day.

Never Have I Ever

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
I have watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre, not the original but the first one with Jessica Biel. I cannot stand to watch people get tortured and chased after. Being that this movie was apparently based on a true story makes it even worse. I can watch horror movies but this one seriously gives me an anxiety attack!

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven’t yet?
The Mindy Project. I see it come on after the New Girl and I laugh for a good five minutes but I have never starting recording it. I have so many shows recording and such little time to watch them that I figure I won't get wrapped up in another one.

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
I am actually known as the "safe" person. I don't have anything daring on my list. My bucket list pertains to traveling, getting out of debt/staying out of debt and trying lots of different foods.

4. Would you ever travel alone?
It depends on what it as for. I do not prefer to do anything alone. Traveling alone at least by airplane would freak me out. I feel little more safe and secure when someone is with me.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
Sleep! Anytime I sleep alone I sleep through the entire night and wake up refreshed. Any tossing and turning, snoring or waking of the three year old and I am frazzled the next morning!
Blog! The less noise and distractions, the more I accomplish in a less amount of time. A silent room with just me and my laptop does wonders!
