The Good...First off the weather was fabulous! The sun was out and the temperature was in the high 70's. Tim worked this weekend so Madison and I took advantage of the warm weather and spent some time outside playing putt putt! Of course she looked absolutely adorable in her Hello Kitty outfit and did very well at golf. Scoring a par 3 at almost every hole she beat my score! She may become a pro golfer some day!

The Bad...This may actually be half good and half bad but a co-worker surprised me Friday (National Donut Day) with Krispy Kreme donuts! We have an ongoing joke about who's turn it is to bring in donuts so he generously spoiled me this time! Along with this snack pack of chocolate I left work feeling like my teeth were going to rot and fall out!

The Ugly...One of our main employees is on vacation so realizing how much stress and what this causes for all of us is a little overwhelming. We will be glad when she returns back to work! Monday is going to be a little harder to deal with this week!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

What comes to mind when you think of an all girls weekend?
Wine? Movies? Bar hopping? Shopping?
Most likely at least a couple of these, right?
Well not for this girl!
The hubs went out of town to help my parents bring back some things they had purchased in Iowa therefore Madison and I had the weekend to ourselves!

Talk about MomMeHour for sure!
It had to be one of the best weekends I have had in a long time!
You can spend time with a friend or a group of girls but when you catch up on quality time with your little mini me there is nothing like it!

So let's get to my Good, Bad and Ugly of the weekend mixed in with our Weekend Shenanigans!

The Good...More like the Greattttttt like Tony the Tiger :) Madison and I began our extravaganza with an afternoon movie date, The Croods. Where we devoured a large bucket of popcorn and slurped down a large Dr. Pepper. The movie was hilarious and well popcorn always satisfies our stomachs.

Later into the weekend we took a little visit to the park where we had a nice stroll and enjoyed the fresh honeysuckle that grew nearby! Swinging, sliding down the slides and running around like well four year olds happened of course.

The Bad...Needless to say we have been less fortunate in gaining good neighbors.

We have subject A who had around 25 cats which were inside and out of the house. Every day we had handfuls in our driveway or front yard.

Then we had subject B who instead of having their garbage picked up would lay all of their trash next to their garage. Piles and piles collected.

Now we have subject C. Actually subjects C-Z because I am really unsure how many people live there. Everyday a different person comes and goes. Their driveway lines up right next to my bedroom window. Therefore every time they shut their car door, side door to the house or decide to talk, yell or scream it feels like its inside of my bedroom or living room.

Long story short around 5:45 am yesterday morning Subject C-D decided to have some kind of argument right outside of my window for about ten minutes. I did what any crazy, startled half asleep woman would do. I marched my way to the front door, went out on the front porch and went to the side of the house and said "Hey! Hey! (Finally getting their attention) I have a four year old sleeping in here, its 6:00 in the morning and you are being too loud! So keep it down!" The man and woman looked at me, apologized and I stormed back inside. I never heard a peep again. I felt bad but REALLY it's called respect! My heart was racing though I'm not going to lie! I am not one to display this kind of behavior!

The Ugly...Upon leaving work on Friday my front tire decided to go flat on me. Two streets away from work, I mean seriously? It was Friday! Can't a girl catch a break? The third tire I am replacing in a week! For the record IT IS NOT THE DRIVER!

I also managed to wear myself out completely after purchasing all of these cleaning supplies and going on a Martha Stuart cleaning frenzy until almost 1am! Madison makes cleaning look a lot cuter than it is!

Don't forget to enter the awesome giveaway that begins today and wish Marquis a Happy Birthday!

AH The Heebie-Jeebies!!

It's a little easier to wake up on a Monday when the house is clean, the bills are paid and my mind is a rested.
Even though I didn't accomplish that much I did spend time with friends and family which means more to me than anything.
I did do a lot of blog reading, entered a few giveaways and met some new bloggy friends :)

The Good...The weather! Saturday started off a little drizzly and by the end of the day was 80 and full of sunshine.
Sunday the weather was 86 and full of sunshine. We took a long walk around Indy's downtown canal and soaked in the rays.

The Bad...(I apologize for the bad camera phone pic in advance) Madison wanted to play in the sprinkler after our long walk and to our surprise the water sprayer connected to the end of the hose was stuck on.
With no tools and no way of removing it I had to become mommy of the year while she decided to have her next meltdown, I mean we all know the world would have ended without a sprinkler? Right?
So I decided to fill the bathtub up with lukewarm water, throw some toys in and let her go (swim team pretend style). We played games and she laughed. She even pretended to "float".
Lucky me the idea worked and she wouldn't sit still long enough to get a clear picture taken.

The Ugly...Along with this beautiful weather we have something not so great, bugs. I don't mean tiny bugs I mean full fledge blood sucking bugs. Here we have Exhibit 1. Can you say gross! I hit him with a towel, he landed on the table and I scooped him into this candle jar and threw him outside. Blah. Heebie-Jeebies! Worst thing in the world, killing a bug!

How was the weather where you live?
Did you have anything happen to you this weekend that gave you the Heebie-Jeebies?
Grab a cup of coffee and make it a Marvelous Monday!

It's A Wrap!

Hey there! How was your weekend? I had an extremely eventful busy weekend! Lots of fun and fabulous things happened! I love Mondays because I get to share all of the great details!

The Good...Madison is turning four tomorrow (blog post to come tomorrow) and we threw her a big Strawberry Shortcake party to celebrate! Everything from the cake, decorations, presents and the arrival of her friend (Elf On The Shelf) Lucy it all turned out to be spectacular!

The Bad...Due to the planning, shopping, running around and stress of everything that I have been doing I have managed to lose 5 lbs. Most people would think this is great but when you hardly weigh anything to begin with it makes a huge difference, trust me I have heard it from everyone. It's not like I try to be skinny. It's in my jeans genes.

The Ugly...I decided to snag some dinner at my first place of employment, Edwards Drive In last night. I ordered a shrimp dinner for myself, hey what can I say I wanted something different. On the way home the shrimp began to fill the car with its fishy smell and caused my stomach to turn. Even though I love the taste of shrimp, driving in a car with it was not an experience I care to ever encounter again.

I am hoping that the rest of the week flies by and comes to an end soon. I mean my vacation IS right around the corner :) Have a great Monday loves!

Shopping, Sweets and Strawberry Shortcake

Ah, Monday is back already! Fortunately this weekend seemed to last awhile and I managed to be very productive! My many spurts of energy came in handy! I seemed to accomplish many great things making it very easy to share the good of my weekend and a little harder to find any bad!

The Good...

1. Retail Therapy! Buy one get one free on most items at Old Navy! Or $5 tank tops! Or 2 for 5 flip flops! I managed to fill a very large bag with shoes and clothes for Madison and I for $55! If you spent $75 then they also took $20 off your grand total! This deal goes until Wednesday, better go hit the racks now! With our other exciting encounters like finding Madison's future rocker while she rocked out and riding the rides at the mall, the weekend turned out to be lots of fun!

2. My preparation for Madison's party is about 98% complete! I am putting the debit card away with the exception of spray paint for a DIY project (details coming soon), the cake, piƱata candy and a few last minute items like forks, spoons, drinks and cups! Other than that the strawberry shortcake party will be a hit! As long as mother nature cooperates! Crossing our fingers and toes!

3. Our run to Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks was once again a success! Fresh donuts, a grande white chocolate mocha and a hot chocolate was exactly what we needed on our Sunday morning.

4. Seeing my sister's trial hair and her wedding dress fitting was a moment. I never dreamed I would be standing in front of my little sister two months before her wedding watching her prepare for her big day. What an exciting time!

The Bad...

1. I may have eaten one too many of those donuts and given myself a belly ache. They are just so darn good and hard to resist!

via
2. The debit card is officially on fire. I must leave it at home for the rest of the week or I'm in trouble. I need to start telling myself "No, you do not NEED that. You WANT that. BIG difference."
via
The Ugly...

1. The GREAT moment that happened but proves to myself that my little girl is no longer my little girl and breaks my heart knowing she is growing up so fast is seeing her write her name for the very first time! I don't know how moms do it, just watch their little boys and girls grow up and not fall apart. I might need therapy with this one. Each day that I see her getting bigger and bigger and growing up I become even more sad. I'm an emotional person and I may have shed a lot of tears over this already. I think I will have her sign a contract now that says she must live with mom and dad for the rest of her life? No? Darn it! :) A mom can only wish!

Link up with Sami for the Weekend Shenanigans and Kate and Kati for the Monday GBU to share your weekend extravaganza!

Happy Monday!
