It seems like every time I venture out on a random or purposeful shopping adventure I always migrate towards the cinnamon scented or flavored items. It is very orgasmic for me. Smelling the yummy scents, tasting the delicious cinnamon foods, drinking the hot and cold cinnamon flavored drinks, everything that involves cinnamon is on my hit list. During Christmas time and the winter season cinnamon items seem more accessible. This puts a smile on my face! I just can't say no to all of those wonderful things!
Having said that, here are some of my all time favorite items involving cinnamon :
Cinnamon apple chips:
Ingredients: 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar. 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. 2 large apples.
Recipe: Preheat the oven to 250 degrees . In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Using a serrated knife or mandoline, thinly slice the apples crosswise, discarding the seeds and both ends. Arrange in a single layer on parchment-paper-lined baking sheets; sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
Bake the apple slices, turning every half hour, until dry, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Remove and transfer to racks to cool. Store in an airtight container. Serves 22 Recipe: Rachel Ray Magazine Cinnamon Rolls:
Ingredients: 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed. 3 tablespoons butter, melted. 2/3 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1 teaspoon water, or as needed. 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream. 2/3 cup sifted confectioner's sugar. 2 tablespoons milk. 1 dash vanilla extract
Recipe: Lightly grease 2 round cake pans with butter. Roll bread dough out to an 6x18-inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Combine brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle over butter. Roll dough into a log, starting at the long edge. Moisten edge with water and seal. Cut log into 20 slices; arrange rolls, cut sides down, in prepared cake pans. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 90 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour heavy cream over dough. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Mix confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl; drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls to serve. Recipe: Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Dulce Latte:
Ingredients: Coffee beans (2 tbsp). Cinnamon (1/2 tsp). Filtered water (1 cup). Milk (half of the coffee mug). Sugar (1 tbsp). Coffee maker. Coffee grinder.
Recipe: Put the coffee beans in a coffee grinder, and grind. Put the ground coffee in the coffee filter, then sprinkle ground cinnamon on top of ground coffee. Add filtered water to the coffeemaker. Brew the coffee. When the coffee finishes brewing, pour it in your coffee mug (fill half the mug, the other half will be milk). Add sugar. Pour milk in another cup and warm it in the microwave (warm, not boil!). We warm the milk so the coffee doesn’t get cold when the milk is added. Add the milk to the coffee so the mug is full. Stir. If you need more sugar, you can add more. Recipe: Melanie Cooks
Cinnamon toast:
Recipe: In a small bowl mix the
sugar with the cinnamon, adjusting the ratio of sugar to cinnamon to your own
particular taste. Toast the bread until golden brown,
on both sides, either under the oven's broiler, on a grill, or in a toaster
oven. Butter one side of the toast and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon
sugar. If desired, place the cinnamon toast under the oven's broiler until the
sugar has melted and starts to bubble. Remove from oven, cut the slices of
cinnamon toast in half, and eat straight away. Serves 2-3. Preparation time 10 minutes. Recipe: Joy Of Baking
Cinnamon Sticks:
Ingredients: 1 pound fresh pizza dough. 1/2 cup sugar. 2 teaspoons cinnamon. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted.
Recipe: Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll, press, and stretch the dough into an 8-by-10-inch rectangle. Starting along the short edge and using a sharp knife, slice the dough into eight 3/4-inch-wide lengths. Whisk together the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Brush all sides with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar. Twist the ends in opposite directions, then transfer to a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Let rest 10 minutes. Bake 18 to 20 minutes. Recipe: Real Simple
