Boom, Boom Pow!

Last Thursday we celebrated the fourth in downtown Indianapolis.
It is a tradition of ours that we have continued over the years.
The hubs works downtown and so we block off the parking lot hours before and spend the rest of the evening having fun!
We play cornhole, watch the fireworks, celebrate with friends and family and take a lot of pictures.
As you might have noticed by now, picture taking is my favorite part :)

So here is a full recap of our night!

As usual, Madison had to have her five minute model session. She was pretty proud of her new outfit, headband and shoes (yes they are supposed to not match). She cracks me up!

Madison and I usually take one mirror picture before we leave the house. I feel like maybe one day we will look back and see how much her and I have changed and grown. Some people hate selfies and mirror pictures but I see it as something we can look back on.

I love the hubs sister. She was about three years old when I first met her and seeing her grow into a teenager is mind blowing. I can't believe how fast these little girls are growing!

I love watching the sunset! In a short period of time the horizon changed colors and became even more beautiful by the second.

The hubs family made for a great time celebrating the night! They entertained Madison and even brought fireworks! Madison had a great time thanks to these two!

Madison kept herself entertained throwing ball with the other kiddos

Madison and the hubs, they spent the night running around like two four year olds!

Sparkler time!

Madison was getting pretty good at making designs and writing her name in the air with the fireworks!

Indianapolis puts on an awesome Freedom Blast fireworks show every year! Three local radio stations play music in sync with the fireworks! The only downfall was by the end there was so much smoke you could hardly see the finale.

Madison even made a fireworks craft at daycare!

Every year we take a family photo and this is our July 4, 2013 family picture!

How did you spend your Fourth Of July?

High Five It's Friday!

TGIF!
I am proudly shouting to the world that I am off of work today!
Epic moment, right? I know!
I am among the few who get to jump up and down and stay in my pjs all day.
Okay who am I kidding I won't be doing that.
I'll be busy moving the bestie into her house, paying bills and hopefully grocery shopping!

Well let's get down to business shall we?

I am linking up with Lauren for High Five For Friday!

1. Watching the Indianapolis Freedom blast with an up close and spectacular view with our closest friends and family was amazing. Nothing is better than spending fun times with loved ones!

2. I scored a deal on a necklace and then brought it home only to realize it came with earrings!!

3. Our 2013 family photo op and color coordinating outfits were again successful this year. I touched on this yesterday on the blog and I have a Fourth Of July recap coming up Tuesday to show just how we celebrated 2013!!

4. What a beautiful view! The sunset was amazing and the sky was breathtaking! I love mother nature!

5. Panera! Need I say more? Warm broccoli soup, bread and a greek salad satisfied my cravings!

I'm off to enjoy two more days off of work!!
Until Monday follow me along on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook :)

Have a great weekend and an even more awesome day!

(Insert I'm off work, it's Friday and today is going to be an incredible day dance!!)

Sparkle The Night

Today marks one of my favorite days of the year!
Besides being a free American and all of the seriousness behind the holiday we have tons of fun!!
Before we had Madison Fourth of July was fun don't get me wrong but entertaining your own child, creating traditions and seeing their face light up when the fireworks ignite is priceless!
Since 2009 we have been sharing these moments and cannot wait for the years to come!

Happy Fourth to all of you!
Check back tomorrow for the 2013 wrap up!
Stay safe!

Party In The U.S.A

Can you believe that next week we will be celebrating the fourth of July!

I mean is time going by in warp speed or is it just me?
Well at least between the hours of 5 and midnight are!
The typical 8-5 work day not so much.

What does that mean for me?
A four day weekend is right around the corner! Whoo hoo!! Yes, you heard me 4 days off!
Time to break out the happy dance!

In the blogosphere, it seems as though us ladies can all agree on two things we love:
Dessert and beverages!

So what better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday and "What I'm Loving Wednesday" then with a  little patriotic goodness.

If these yummy delights don't get your taste buds jumping and bellies growling I don't know what will!
