It has been challenging keeping the days straight with all of the holiday breaks and weekends but you won't hear me complaining! Receiving breaks in between the daily hustle and bustle makes things a little easier to cope with!
My New Years plans didn't occur until yesterday. A little last minute don't ya think? Oh, just living carelessly on the wild side I would suppose? Sounds better than "I could have really given a crap what happened, I planned on going with the flow."
I never have celebrated with my family on big holidays such as New Years or St Patrick's Day. We usually stick with our closest friends and party the night away. This year was different! I was able to celebrate New Years with my brother and his girlfriend! For the last few years we have went to the casino.
The atmosphere is great, the band plays great music and usually a lot of freebies are being given out. This year didn't live up to past years. The theme was a Hawaiian theme and the band didn't play anything current. Wah wah. What a disappointment. Who thinks a luau on New Years is a great idea? Although we were with good company and a few others showed up at the last minute, I can say next year will not be the same. I plan on finding something completely different and changing up the "tradition".
On a different (positive note), I spent New Years day completing my second of three books I have been trying to finish and enjoyed sleeping in and Starbucks!
I also pulled the very appropriate and most comfy sweater out and rocked it all day!
I even stuck to my resolution and made a great home cooked meal!!
How was your New Years Eve and day?
Aw sounds like such a fun night! I'm glad you were able to spend it with your brother :) Hope you had an amazing NYE, and best wishes for the most amazing 2014, pretty!
