Would You Kiss A Stranger?

For most people engaging in conversation with a complete stranger can be nerve wracking. Sweaty palms, a crackling voice, stuttered words and a loss of concentration may all occur when interacting with someone for the first time.

What if everything changed and the entire scene was set up for you?

First Kiss is a video project directed by Tatia Pilieva that brings twenty people together to experience a once in a lifetime moment.

Two people who have never met, talked or seen each other reacting in such an intimate and affectionate way is truly remarkable. This is a reminder that a simple kiss can be romantic, can sweep you off your feet and give you the ultimate feeling of joy, love and happiness. Human interaction is needed. Even the hug that the two men share brought a smile to my face.

I've always said it's the small things that matter. Taking it to home base isn't always what everyone needs and wants. It's the affection, attention and desire given by the other person. Knowing you are needed and wanted is what warms the heart. A single kiss, touch or smile can change everything.

Guilty As Charged

One of the first steps to overcoming an addiction is admitting the problem. In my case, I have an addiction, I admit it and I'm in no hurry to overcome it.

via
My newest obsession is the television show, Grey's Anatomy. I'm three seasons behind and I can't watch them fast enough. It doesn't help that I have a four year old and husband who have control over the tv twenty four seven.

via
My next shopping excursion will involve me purchasing a few cords so I can hook up Netflix in my bedroom and lock myself in the room until I'm finished. Sounds like a good plan right?

For those of you who watch it, you know how addicting this is for someone. For those who have not experienced the greatness of this show, trust me, you won't want to miss this incredible series. Although the show is on its tenth season it's very easy to get caught up if you have the time. Each episode leaves you hanging and wanting to watch more.

Over this period of time I've learned so much and have been truly inspired...

Some people view television as a time waster but if you really pay attention, some shows can teach us every life lesson there is to learn. The way to treat people, the way to live, the way to respect others can all be taken from the experience. I will continue indulging myself in my addiction while also learning valuable lessons.

What's your latest addiction or obsession?

Princess For A Day: Charity Event

Not a day goes by that I don't look at my daughter and thank God for the blessing he has given me. A healthy, beautiful and smart little girl. As I scroll through my Instagram feed I see all of the mother's-to-be, newborn babies, toddlers and older ones growing up before my eyes. The world is a beautiful place and the lives that walk among it are living miracles.

When I was given information about a local salon and photography studio participating in a charity event for Flashes Of Hope I knew I wanted to attend the event.

Princess For A Day is an annual event that is held to raise money for the Flashes Of Hope foundation. Flashes Of Hope raises funds to find a cure for children's cancer. I can't even begin to imagine having a child living with cancer or worst case scenario losing a child to cancer. Events like these inspire me to do more, live more and to stop wasting time.

Today at the charity event Madison was treated like a princess. Pampering was given by a hairstylist from Tyler Mason Salon where she received a French braid and makeup session.
She also received a manicure and had a photography session with Spotlight Photography.

Balloon entertainers, the 500 festival princesses and local vendors also made this day special for the children.

While Madison received the royal treatment and may not know the reason for this special day until years to come I know I participated in helping donate money to a great cause and hopefully some day there will be a cure for cancer. I've lost family members to cancer, had my cancer scare and experience and hear about it almost every day. One event, a few dollars or your time can mean all the difference.

If you are looking for a way to help and contribute please help Flashes Of Hope by making a donation today. Visit Flashes Of Hope for more details.
