Every Tuesday I share a recipe that I have made that week or have previously made. I love to cook. Finding new recipes, trying new meals and sharing the delicious end result makes me happy. Cooking takes some of the stress out of my life and calms my nerves.
Sunday I decided to venture out into the dull, rainy atmosphere and pick up some groceries. I made my way through the store and upon entering the baking goods aisle I set my eyes upon something my mother likes to make. Banana bread. Living at your mothers house is something you take for granted until you move out and live on your own. The home cooked meals, the clean house, the finished laundry and the aroma of desserts! I always hope when my daughter grows up she appreciates the small things, like the aroma coming from the kitchen that fills the home and the heart.

So I have decided to share the recipe I used for Banana Bread. Granted I used a box recipe but it came out amazing and you should try it the next time you have the chance!

Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
Pillsbury Quick Bread Banana Bread mix

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Generously grease loaf pan(s) with no-stick cooking spray.

2. Combine mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl. Stir 50 to 75 strokes until mix is well blended. Pour into greased pan(s).

3. Bake at 375 degrees as directed or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes. Loosen edges with knife or metal spatula. Remove from pan.

Pan Size, Oven Temp and Bake Time:
4X8: 375 degrees 45-55 minutes
5X9: 375 degrees 40-50 minutes
3-3X5: 375 degrees 35-45 minutes

I thought this recipe would be great for a dull, rainy and lazy Sunday!
